A bit about me
Hi, my name is Laura. I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I am also a JNC qualified youth worker and have extensive experience of supporting both young people and adults with all aspects of their mental health.
Before stepping into the world of consultancy, training and private practice I was Chief Executive of a Midlands based social enterprise that supported around 1000 children and their families annually by providing emotional and practical support.
I now spend my time developing emotional wellbeing programmes for the children and young people sector, delivering mental health training to professionals working in the social care arena, teaching accredited counselling courses and providing one to one counselling to adolescents and adults via my private practice.
Counselling
I offer an integrative counselling approach, blending techniques and tools from different modalities to tailor an individual approach for you.
Integrative counselling looks at the whole person, taking into account your mental, physical and emotional needs.
I aim to build a trusting and non-judgmental relationship that helps you develop self-awareness. When you understand the causes of your concerns or triggers for your behaviour, you can confidently set goals and develop new behaviours to improve your satisfaction with life.
My areas of particular interest and further training are;
-
Young people and adults experiencing anxiety and/or panic disorder
-
Young people and adults who need support with grief and/or loss
I have 2 counselling rooms; one in Redditch and one in Earlswood near Solihull and can offer online counselling via zoom.
Prices
